Package contents and installation preparation
The package contains the complete front camera module, connection flex cable attached. No tools are provided. Removing the original sensor requires removal of the rear glass, then the motherboard assembly: the connector is located on the upper side of the board, under a metal cover held by two screws. Plan for a precision Phillips screwdriver (PH000), a rigid pick to lift the flex cables, and antistatic tweezers.
The sensor is housed in a circular location machined in the chassis. Its flex cable passes through the motherboard and folds under the module. Any excessive tension during handling risks breaking the new flex cable or tearing the connector from the motherboard. Disconnect the battery before any intervention to avoid short circuits during reinstallation.
Exclusive compatibility with the Galaxy A72
This part exclusively fits the Samsung Galaxy A72, commercial reference SM-A725F/DS. It does not fit the Galaxy A52, nor the Galaxy A52s 5G, despite visually similar chassis: the flex cable connectors differ, and the module positioning in the screen assembly varies by a few millimeters. Forced installation on an incompatible device destroys the motherboard connector.
The Galaxy A72 is recognizable by its 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen and its matte plastic back. Check the exact reference in the system settings (Settings > About phone > Model number) before ordering: the /DS suffix designates the dual SIM version sold in France, the SM-A725F reference corresponds to the standard European model.
Warranty and validity conditions
The part is covered by a 2-year warranty from receipt. This warranty covers manufacturing defects and malfunctions occurring in normal use. It excludes damage caused by a fall, overheating, liquid infiltration after installation, or handling error during assembly (torn flex cable, forced connector).
For the warranty to apply, the part must be installed by a person mastering the required technical procedures. A connector damaged during reinstallation or a flex cable cut by a tool does not fall under a covered defect. Keep the original packaging and proof of purchase: they will be requested in case of return.
