Samsung Galaxy A72 8MP Rear Camera
This 8MP rear camera replaces the damaged ultra-wide-angle module of the Samsung Galaxy A72. It restores the 123° wide-angle shots and stabilized videos that the device offered at launch. A faulty camera manifests itself through blurry images, spots on wide-angle photos, an error message when launching the application, or the inability to switch to ultra-wide-angle mode. This Service Pack part comes from the official Samsung distribution circuit: it is new, identical to the factory-fitted component, and delivered in the manufacturer's packaging.
The manufacturer reference GH96-14168A precisely identifies this module for the Galaxy A72 (A725F). It guarantees compatibility with the motherboard and firmware of this device, without software conflict or degradation of optical performance. Recognizing a wide-angle sensor failure
The Galaxy A72 features four rear cameras: a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle, an 8MP telephoto and a 5MP depth sensor. When the ultra-wide-angle module fails, the application blocks switching to 0.5× mode or displays a black screen instead of the image. Photos taken with this lens come out blurry across the entire surface, with circular spots that do not disappear when cleaning the external lens. An impact on the rear glass or water infiltration frequently damages this module, which is more exposed than the main sensor.
The other three cameras can continue to function normally: the failure isolates the wide-angle without affecting the telephoto or main sensor. If all modes fail, the motherboard or main flex cable is at fault, not this module alone.
Replacement and installation precautions
Replacement requires disassembly of the rear glass, removal of the intermediate frame and removal of the camera support chassis. The module disconnects via a clip-on flex cable: no soldering is necessary, but excessive force tears the connector off the motherboard. Flex cables are fragile and tear if bent at right angles. Once the module is in place, test all modes of the Camera application before closing the device: an improperly inserted flex cable gives a black image without an error message.
Handling must be done on a clean surface, dust-free: a grain trapped between the lens and the chassis creates a permanent spot on photos. Never use aggressive cleaners on the lens of the new module. A fingerprint on the optical glass can be removed with a dry microfiber cloth, never with a solvent.

This Service Pack part comes with a 2-year warranty covering manufacturing defects. It is tested by Samsung before shipment according to the same protocol as factory-fitted modules, with verification of effective resolution, focus and absence of dead pixels. The barcode printed on the module ensures traceability back to the production line. A minor cosmetic defect on the packaging does not affect the conformity of the part itself: it is the security seal that certifies it has not been opened.
